It was 150 years ago, that the infamous Captain Nemo encountered a colossal monster while searching the ruins of the legendary realm of Atlantis. At the time, there was much dissent among the scientific community, many stated it was indeed a gigantic cephalopod species from ancient times, others believed to be the Kraken, a legendary sea monster from Scandinavian folklore, while some cultists claimed it was the mythical Cthulhu. After more than a century, this tantalizing enigma remains to be explained by modern science, with many leading scientists claiming it was nothing more than a hoax from the newspapers at the time, stating that there isn't and never has been any scientific evidence to support those reports.
